PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS Bill 172, an ordinance <br />amending Ordinance No. 13 -66, as amended, relating to public improvements and financing thereof for <br />the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. This will approve the Department of Public Works to add <br />this project, appropriating $86,000 of funds from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund -- <br />Fund Balance and/or other Sources. At Finance Committee Meeting held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, <br />in the Hilo Council Chambers, the bill was, with one absence, unanimously recommended to First <br />Reading at Council level. <br />2. KUAULI /HWY 1 I ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS - seeking assistance with State funding on CIP list; <br />ranked priority #43 under the summary of requests for Department of Public Works in ordinance No. <br />13 -66, the Capital Budget and Six -Year Capital Improvements Program. <br />3. MT. VIEW PLAYGROUND named AJ Watt [after a well -known figure in Mountain View area} <br />Playground; blessing and opening ceremony was conducted on Friday. November 22, 2013. This bill passed 2 "d and Final Reading unanimously with one <br />absence at Council Meeting held in the Hilo Council Chambers on Wednesday.
