Description: Install and maintain an emergency (911) phone at the parking area above <br />Kehena Beach (Hwy 137 /Red Road). Cost estimate includes purchasing the Phone /Cell <br />Tower. Monthly operational cost needs to be factored included. <br />6. Justification: This relatively remote beach and adjacent parking area is very popular among <br />residents and visitors and experiences a high rate of vehicle break -ins and personal injuries <br />due to falls on the beach access trail and ocean hazards. Poor cell phone reception in this <br />area makes use of personal cell phones to call for emergency assistance impractical. <br />Revised 7/12/2012 <br />
