Update on Emergency Response Mapping Workshops <br />• HPP June 30th General Meeting — 3:00 p.m. — will include: <br />Introduction to Emergency Evacuation Mapping, Overview of PREP <br />Fair to be held August 31, 2013, Overview of July 13 and August 3, <br />2013 Training Workshops, Evacuation Mapping for HPP residents <br />interested, Sign Ups for Workshops and Fair helpers <br />• Emergency Evacuation Mapping Training Workshops: <br />Saturday, July 13, 2013, 10:00 a.m. -Noon, Keaau Community Center <br />Saturday, August 3, 2013, 10:00 a.m. — Noon, Keaau Community <br />Center <br />2. Update on Puna Regional Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Fair <br />• Review of Updated PREP Fair Planning Document <br />• Need for Core Co- Chairs (2 -3 people for each major area of concern) <br />• Recommended areas: <br />1. Facilities and Planning — site mapping for all activities, <br />communication with Keaau HS — Marlene Hapai, Bill Hanson, <br />+ logistics person from Civil Defense <br />2. Communications — Invitations to Presenters, track responses <br />including needs for the day (Patti Pinto, Hannah Hedrick, <br />Marlene Hapai) <br />3. Fundraising /Sponsors — Marlene Hapai, Patti Pinto, Jerry <br />Reiss, Bill Hanson — reviewed and assigned extensive list of <br />potential local sponsors to be contacted to contribute to <br />Emergency Preparedness bags. 250 to be given out that day. <br />25 every half hour via lucky numbers given at presentations, <br />exhibit booths, activities and contests. Still need someone to <br />cover Pahoa businesses. KTA and Keaau Ace Hardware <br />major sponsors, thus far. <br />
