E., 2nd Floor <br />74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, 96740 <br />AGENDA <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />KONA CDP MEMBER AND STAFF INTRODUCTION <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON AGENDA <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />PONC Presentation: A presentation by one or more commissioners of the County's <br />Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission (PONC) to <br />provide information regarding PONC to the Kona CDP Action Committee. [PONC's <br />mission is to develop, and update at least annually, an initial island -wide prioritized list of <br />qualifying lands worthy of preservation for submittal to the mayor. The list shall include <br />the significance of each parcel or entitlement identified, the reason for its priority, and its <br />anticipated use after acquisition. The Commission is to explore methods of funding land <br />acquisition and make recommendations to the mayor. The commission shall give <br />emphasis to land acquisitions where the County's contribution can be leveraged to obtain <br />State, Federal, and/or private funds.] <br />2. CIP Projects Review — Appropriations and Funding Status: Spreadsheet <br />Review of current and proposed County CIP appropriations and existing allotments: <br />Review and discussion of the County's existing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br />appropriations, allotments, and encumbered funds vis-a-vis the Mayor's "Proposed <br />Capital Budget and Six -Year Capital Improvement Program FY 2017-2018" dated March <br />1, 2017. Review and discussion is principally with respect to project priorities of the <br />Kona CDP. <br />
