We have no comments on the parent organizations or the <br />guidelines at this time and look forward to working with the PVDRC in the administration of the <br />Pahoa Village Design Guidelines (PVDG) (Resolution 454-14). <br />We thought it would be helpful to summarize our understanding of administrative steps related to <br />the PVDG. The Planning Department will provide the PVDRC with copies of Plan Approval <br />(PA), Planned Unit Development (PUD), and sign permit applications, with exceptions as <br />provided for in Chapters 3 and 25, Hawaii County Code. Correspondence and applications from <br />the Planning Department will be sent to the following address that has been provided to us: <br />Pahoa Design Review Committee <br />C/O Mainstreet Pahoa Association <br />PO Box 1159 <br />Pahoa, HI 96778 <br />Email: MainstreetPahoa,::—., <br />In its advisory capacity to the Planning Director, the Committee will have an opportunity to <br />conduct design review for consistency with the PVDG. The PVDRC shall complete its review of <br />any application and submit its written recommendations along with the reviewed plans stamped <br />"Reviewed by" with the date and signature of the committee chair to the Director within twenty- <br />five calendar days from the date of receipt of such application from the Director. <br />In addition, as required by Hawaii County Code, the PVDRC shall develop a process for the <br />preliminary review of conceptual plans/applications to assist applicants with designing projects <br /> Hawar i County is an Equal Opporranity Pro ider and Employer pllanninardshawahcowity.e" <br />
