5. PCDP Action Priority List. The AC will discuss suggestions for revisions to the Priority List <br />as amended in May 2013. (5 min) <br />6. Budget Subcommittee. The AC will discuss process for preparing CIP and General Operating <br />Budget requests to the Director for the 2014 -15 FY and assign members to the subcommittee <br />for this budget cycle. (5 min) <br />7. Geothermal Operations in Puna. The AC will discuss the potential for expanded geothermal <br />power operations in Puna, how it relates to the Puna CDP, and whether proposing interim <br />amendments to the Puna CDP to address community concerns are appropriate. (5 min) <br />8. Forum to Address Infrastructure Deficiencies in Puna. Dan will introduce a suggestion for <br />creating a forum that includes community, business and government officials to identify and <br />formally list the several most important infrastructure needs in Puna, and to highlight the two or <br />three most urgent projects that need to be implemented. (10 min) <br />9. Council Member Zendo Kern. Talk story session with the AC to discuss projects relevant to <br />the PCDP that the Council Member is working on and to explore opportunities for <br />collaboration. (10 min) <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />1. Communication No. 2013 -47: Draft letter providing comments from the AC to the Planning <br />Director regarding the application by Hawaii's Volcano Circus, Ltd. to amend Special Permit <br />No. 1122. (15 min) <br />2. Communication No. 2013 -34: Request from the Pahoa Regional Town Center Steering <br />Committee for review, comments and approval of the draft ordinance to amend Chapters 3 and <br />25 of the Hawaii County Code in order to create a Pahoa Village District and a draft resolution <br />to adopt the Pahoa Town Center Design Guidelines. (15 min) <br />AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Agenda item suggestions from the AC for the September 10, <br />2013 meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting <br />please contact the Planning Department at 961 -8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to <br />arrange for accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities <br />who are mentally and/or physically challenged. <br />If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2- <br />91.3(b), Hawaii County Code). A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five <br />hours in any month or $275 in any six -month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by <br />communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials."
